In a crowded landscape of weight loss startups chasing visibility and investor capital, one founder is building something different. Quietly, clinically, and without outside funding, she’s scaling a platform that puts patients first.
Kiana Jackson, a 25-year-old healthcare professional with more than seven years of frontline experience, is the founder and CEO of Anava Health, a national telehealth company offering compounded GLP-1 medications and integrative peptide therapies. The company’s mission is clear: make advanced metabolic care accessible, affordable, and medically sound.
Anava Health is not a pop-up clinic or influencer brand. It is a licensed, provider-led platform designed for long-term care. Patients receive access to custom-compounded GLP-1 medications such as Semaglutide and Tirzepatide — the same active ingredients found in Ozempic, Mounjaro, and Zepbound — as well as peptides including NAD+, Glutathione, and GAC blends.
Unlike many programs in the space, Anava avoids inflated pricing, confusing subscriptions, and unvetted protocols. Each patient plan includes:
- A medical review by a board-certified MD or NP
- HIPAA-compliant asynchronous or live video consults
- Fulfillment through licensed 503A or 503B pharmacies
- Step-by-step titration guidance and clinical support
- Transparent monthly pricing starting at $129
“Patients want clarity, not chaos,” Jackson says. “They want real care and real oversight, not just a product.”
Before launching Anava, Jackson worked in direct patient care as a certified nursing assistant and medical assistant. That clinical foundation shaped every piece of the business — from intake forms to pharmacy workflows.
“I didn’t build this to trend online,” she says. “I built it because I’ve seen how hard it is for everyday people to access consistent, respectful care.”
Jackson and her supervising physician, Dr. Phillip Ulyanovskiy, lead operations alongside a growing team of board-certified providers. Together, they oversee medical intake, pharmacy coordination, compliance, and long-term care tracking.
Anava takes a full-body, whole-person approach. In addition to weight loss, many patients seek help for low energy, poor sleep, hormonal shifts, or post-burnout fatigue. To support this, Anava offers peptides like NAD+ and Glutathione that are designed to aid recovery, mitochondrial health, and metabolic function.
“We’re not just treating the scale. We’re treating the system — mental, physical, emotional,” Jackson explains.
Each plan is customized based on provider review and can evolve over time depending on the patient’s response and goals.
Anava Health launched in spring 2025 with no venture capital, no crowdfunding, and no celebrity promotions. Every system was built from scratch — funded solely by Jackson’s savings and her personal commitment to care. She credits her husband for helping her manage early logistics and backend operations while she focused on clinical structure.
Since launch, the company has:
- Expanded licensed provider coverage to nearly all 50 states
- Established pharmacy partnerships for nationwide fulfillment
- Launched multiple dosing plans with clear, upfront pricing
- Grown organically through word-of-mouth and provider trust
“We didn’t go viral. We went live,” Jackson says. “And we’re staying live, because people need this.”
Anava is now preparing to expand into hormone therapy, bundled GLP-1 programs, and metabolic care that continues beyond the initial weight loss phase. Jackson and her team are also developing digital tools for tracking outcomes and simplifying care follow-up.
Her focus remains on building something durable. Not just a brand — a clinical platform that lasts.
“This isn’t a shortcut to health,” she says. “It’s a framework. One that respects the patient from day one.”
