Restructuring Vaccine Distribution with FHIR-Based Data Sharing
Under Tarun Jain’s leadership, the Healthix integration project addresses data fragmentation by connecting over 8,000 healthcare facilities across New York State. This large-scale project implements FHIR standards to enable the smooth exchange of patient information, which proves crucial for efficient COVID-19 vaccine distribution and marks a notable change in healthcare data management.
The implementation of FHIR standards changes how healthcare providers handle patient data.
