Get ready for another SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket to take flight overnight from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center!
SpaceX is targeting a 4½-hour launch window from 12:13 a.m. to 4:44 a.m. EST Tuesday from pad 39A, a Federal Aviation Administration operations plan advisory shows.
The Falcon 9 will deploy a payload of Starlink internet satellites, which are packed inside the fairing atop the 230-foot rocket.
No Central Florida sonic booms are expected. After soaring skyward along a southeasterly trajectory, the rocket’s first-stage booster will target landing aboard a SpaceX drone ship out at sea roughly eight minutes after liftoff.
Check back for live FLORIDA TODAY Space Team launch coverage updates on this page, starting about 90 minutes before the early morning launch window opens. When SpaceX’s live webcast begins about five minutes before liftoff, look for it posted below next to our countdown clock.
